This lodge Opened its doors in January 2012, and offers 20 cottages set on a virgin-forest hill-slope in on a 50 acres piece of land very close to the UNESCO-listed renowned Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania.
The location of this Lodge is wonderful for somewhat quick access to the internationally renowned Ngorongoro Crater; it is only five minutes drive from this lodge to the entry gate of Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Each of the rooms has wooden floors, a beamed ceiling, and each cottage has been built in form of a log cabin, having a lounge, a large bedroom, dressing area, inside bathroom as well as a private terrace. On the lounge, is a roll-arm couch plus 2 high armchairs set around a small coffee table close to the fireplace.
at Exploreans Ngorongoro all requirements appear to have been carefully thought of, with WiFi connection, alarm clock, a hairdryer, toiletries, torch, slippers, telephone, bathrobes, digital safe, umbrellas, hot-water bottles, charging points, ceiling fans, as well as shoe shining services.
The main area at Exploreans’ is a makuti-thatched T-shaped facility built using timber, having a veranda that goes around. The somewhat large interior seems a lot bigger due to the towering A-frame ceilings whose beams are exposed, although on a cloudy day it could appear dark. On one end is the reception desk plus the souvenir shop; and then the other end is the nice Acacia Restaurant. The bar having a wall-mounted television is at the top of the ‘T’, and then the tail hosts the lounge fitted with leather chairs comfortable sofas. There are Double doors that lead you to the airy outside terrace. Large glass windows allow for a lot of natural light, and make the most of the pretty views.
